Once you have performed a car check by SMS or text on your mobile phone from 78 888, you can simply text back the VIN to 78 888 from the same number your did the original text check with and we will tell you if the VIN or Chassis number you text us matches the details held by the DVLA data for that vehicle.

We regreat that the DVLA forbids VIN only searches or for any retail company to give the VIN out to anyone, therefore we can only match when you send us the VIN or chassis number first.

Why is checking the VIN important?

The VIN is the unique identification number for that vehicle. Registrations can be changed and identities covered up, but checking the VIN by text when you are next to the car is a sure fire way to ensure that the vehicle you are buying is genuine.
